Bound was conceived in Charlee’s last year at the art academy.

We finished this collection in 2002 at our loft-studio in Antwerp, only utilizing new and better natural materials such as truck- and bicycle-tires and red paint.

“Of all my sculptures, Bound is what I am most proud of. My emotions as a child in a new and unique form and material. On a base level understandable by any abused child and by any adult.  My struggling with fear, anger, silence and consequences.
Bound is everything I feel, felt and carried with me for a long time and is my most gratifying and beautiful achievement as an artist.”
